CHANA MASALA MIX/50G

Ingredients
  • Dehydrated Onion Flakes, Coriander, Tomato Powder, Salt, Cashew Nut, Dehydrated Garlic,
  • Cumin, Dehydrated Ginger, Chilli, Dry Mango Powder, Dehydrated Mint Leaves, Bay Leaf, Green Cardamom, Ajwain,
  • Kasoori Methi, Cassia, Clove, Black Pepper, Turmeric Powder, Tamarind Powder, Black Cardamom.

All you need:

  • 1 tin (400g) Chickpeas (washed & drained)

  • 150g tomatoes, finely chopped.

  • Masalawaala Chana Masala Mix (50g)

  • 4 tbsp oil/ghee

  • 300ml water

4 Simple steps:

  1. Make a paste of Masalawaala Chana Masala Mix and 100ml water.

  2. Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add chopped tomato and cook for 4 to 5 minutes (until the oil starts to oozes out) 

  3. Add the prepared paste & cook for a minute then add the chickpeas & sauté for a minute.

  4. Add remaining water and cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce becomes a thicker consistency.

    Serve hot with Bhatura (fried Indian bread)/naan or rice

Our tips:

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and ginger julienne.

Add some green chillies when cooking to give your dish some extra heat.

Serve traditionally with a simple onion salad (sliced onions, pinch of salt, red chilli powder and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice).
